Sunday, July 20, 2014 / 11:11 PM

Hello hctkd!

It is with much sadness in our hearts that we step down and take a break from training. The past one and a half years has been nothing short of delightful. We have had our ups and downs of exhilarations and frustrations, joy and pain, and we have found in this community a family. :') Thank you hctkd, for creating all the beautiful memories that we will keep dear and near to our hearts. To all the J2s, we wish you all the best for the upcoming A levels!

Dearest juniors, we are all so happy to welcome you to the family, and we are very excited to watch you all embark on this journey! Before long, you will be here stepping down too; treasure the next one and a half years! It will be a very precious time, if you allow it to be. :)

Here is your new Exco:

President: Timothy
Vice-President: Charlotte
Secretary: Aloysius
Treasurer: Wei Yang
Training ICs: Gary, Chuan Bin
Section Leaders: Kai Xiang, Clement
Public Relations Officer: Jing Jing
Welfare Representative: Kemerly
Quartermaster: Andrew

We wish the exco of 2014/2015 all the best! :) We (your exco of 2013/2014) have had a very enjoyable time serving this wonderful family and we're very grateful to have been granted such a position to do so.

We hope all of you will be able to grow and learn together, and continue to build the hctkd family and bring us to greater heights! Most importantly, believe in yourselves and have fun! We have a lot of faith in you.

We'll be back!! (maybe during JTS? ;) )

With love
Pris on behalf of exco 2013/2014

INTER-JCs OH YEAH :D
Thursday, April 25, 2013 / 9:24 PM

Hey guys!

Comps are tomorrow, and the prospect of it certainly daunting.

Some of us (mostly J2s) have been training since last December. The hours of training that we have clocked is sizeable, and we haven't looked back. As for J1s, it has really been heartening seeing the enthusiasm and hard work that you put into every formal and informal training session. It is without doubt that we are much more formidable competitors than we were a month ago. Now that the time has come, it's nice to see that we care for our progress as a club more than that of self-improvement.

The coarse texture of the mats under calloused feet assume a habitual spot in our memory. It's a different feeling altogether when we have to train in the mirror room. The ground is cold, slightly sticky and slippery.

No matter how slippery the mats are tomorrow, let's do our best. By that, I mean we go there and have fun. Don't be nervous; remember that we're from HCTKD, we can taek kick! Treat the mats as a venue for self-expression, because our individual poomsaes are unique and speak volumes above whot we can verbalise. So I guess... Make every kick count :)

Non-comps people, thank you for all the support and encouragement thus far and for spreading wonderful jolly optimism haha (no sarcasm intended, really). You guys have a very very important role as well tomorrow, xin ku ni men le!

HCTKD, let's go fight win!

I shall end this blog post with a quote that we can all chew on.

"I'm not in competition with anybody but myself. My goal is to beat my last performance."
   - Celine Dion

PS After comps is sparring season, doesn't that sound absolutely lovely :))))))
