HI J1s! Our first-ever HCTKD photography contest is here! Through this contest, we hope to promote senior-junior interaction as well as teamwork and leadership skills amongst J1s. Most importantly, we hope you would HAVE FUN camwhoring with one another!>D

J1 participants are required to collect photographs of them and the J2 seniors and upload to our HCTKD'11'12'13 Facebook group.  (please get your peers to add you if you're not inside)

-Each photograph that shows 1 senior and 1 junior of the same gender will earn the group 1 point!
-Each photograph that shows 1 senior and 1 junior of opposite genders will earn the group 2 points!
-Each photograph that includes the ENTIRE group of J1s with at least one J2 senior will earn the group 3 points!

The top two J1 groups who chalk up the HIGHEST NUMBER OF POINTS will walk away with attractive prizes! :D
There will also be a few SPECIAL PRIZES awarded to the groups with:
1. The photograph that has the MOST SENIORS inside
2. The FUNNIEST photo

There will be 2 elections:

1. General Elections (16 May 2011)

• Election of 11 EXCO Members
2.  Presidential Elections (25 May 2011)
• 4pm @ LT1
• Out of the 11 EXCO Members, 4 short-listed candidates will run for Presidency and Vice-Presidency

Both election process comprise 3 segments:

1. 2 min speech by candidates [order to be announced next week]
• Candidates are to give an INTERESTING and ENGAGING 2 min (MAX) speech which may comprise the following areas:
• Introduction of themselves
• Strengths/Weakness of themselves
• Reasons for running for EXCO positions
• Specific initiatives or measures you wish to push for or implement
2.  Q&A Segment
3. Voting
• Voting instructions will be released on the election day itself

Do note that candidates with the highest number of votes are short listed as the new EXCO'12'13. Presidential candidates will be short-listed by the teachers-in-charge and the current EXCO.

Every vote counts. So do have an idea of who is worthy of becoming your EXCO'12'13 to lead the club.

This is for the J2s, who have to attend COMPULSORY TAEKWONDO SHOWCASE this Friday, 11th May, which is also CSM day!

All of you are excused from whatever CSM activities there are, and instead of roasting in the sun you get to come for training. Basically, we're just supposed to 'poach' the secondary 4 students from Nanyang and Hwa Chong. They will be completing certain drills with us in order to get a stamp. I'm not sure exactly what time CSM ends, but details of training are as follows:

Reporting Time: 7.30am (We need to set-up)
Training Time: 8.00am -12.00pm (Pack-up time factored in)

There will be 2 groups of you (every hour) that are not training. 1 group will be minding a booth and entertaining the lower secondary pupils; the other group will be coaching them on certain basic drills. The rest of the club will be doing circuit + sparring (:
